A landscape is, in essence, "constant change", which can be read as a clock. To make this sequence of subtle transformations visible, Sanne documented the plants, trees, weeds, and flowers of a garden over the course of one year. She soaked them in pure alcohol, which draws out and temporarily preserves their pigments. The liquid colours are collected in 72 bottles, each containing the colour of one plant species. The abstract passage of time in the garden becomes visible through a delicate palette of greens, yellows, pinks, and golds.
